Today I’m talking about torture.
I am a torture survivor.
I find the legal parsing of the precise description of what is torture and what isn’t reminiscent of Bill Clinton’s legal parsing of the word is and the words sexual relations. Bill Clinton did suborn perjury and did have sexual relations with “That Woman.” Conversely, the water boarding we’re doing to nutcase Muslim extremists is torture.
I’ve been tortured and I know what it is. Water boarding is torture.
I’d also like to debunk the politically correct myth that torture isn’t effective. I’ve known a number of tortured men and it was effective on ALL of them. Torture is effective, yet it destroys or nearly destroys those who are on the receiving end of its assault. Torture is violent, brutal, cruel and unusual, uncivilized and horrid.
When I was in the torture chamber and the angel of death was lurking near by, I came face to face with my mortality and my problem of sin.
As a result of torture, I gave my life to Jesus. He has taken years to put me back together and I continually speak of His Goodness.
I thank God that the Supreme Court struck down partial birth abortion because this procedure is torture unto death. I hope they finish the job and reverse Roe V. Wade.
