I shouldn’t be surprised at the vitriolic knee jerk reaction to my suggestion that Organized Labor is failing the American Worker. Yet Organized Labor’s failures are getting increasingly harder to hide.
The attitude of the self described progressive democrat labor movement that echoes
“You don’t know how good you have it when we help you negotiate lower wages, poorer benefits and worse working conditions,” grows thin. It’s reminiscent of the conservative rant that things have gone exceedingly well the past three years in Iraq. It’s a thin argument tucked into groundless claims.
The organized labor excuse makers might want to quit making excuses and quit telling the rank and file that they don’t understand the economic situation involved and can’t possible be smart enough to understand what’s really going on. Workers understand very much what’s going on.
