The Loss of Government Integrity.
Former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens was convicted of a felony last
fall that ultimately cost him his seat in the United States Senate. Now we find
out that the prosecutors committed misconduct in convicting him and the charges
against him have been dismissed. Several Prosecutors and at least one FBI agent
are cited as having committed misconduct during the investigation and court
proceedings.
Had Senator Stevens not has the means and power to force the
government to obey the law, his falsely obtained conviction would have been
upheld.
How sad.
